What is the difference between SUMIF and SUMIFS?

SUMIF takes one condition: =SUMIF(range,criteria,[sum_range]). SUMIFS takes many, and the sum range comes first: =SUMIFS(sum_range,range1,crit1,...).

How do I use SUMIFS with a date range?

Use two conditions on the date column: =SUMIFS(D2:D99,A2:A99,">="&G1,A2:A99,"<="&G2), with the start date in G1 and end date in G2.
