Frequently asked questions
What does "oversized image" actually mean?
It means the image has far more pixels than its printed size could ever use - for example, a photo with enough resolution to print at poster size but placed the size of a passport photo. Those extra pixels don't make it look any better on paper, they just make the file bigger. This tool shrinks the image to a proper 300 DPI print resolution at the size it's actually placed on the page.
Why can't a low-resolution image or a hairline stroke be fixed automatically?
Because the missing detail was never captured in the first place - stretching a low-resolution image bigger would just blur it differently, not add real information, and this tool never rewrites a document's own drawn lines or font choices. Both are reported plainly so you can decide whether to go back to the original source.
