Excel Agent is built for the moment when you know exactly what you want a spreadsheet to do, but not the formula, PivotTable, or VLOOKUP that would do it. Upload one or more Excel or CSV files and describe what you need in plain English - cleaning up messy data, adding a calculated column, combining two files by a shared ID, building a summary by group, or just tidying up formatting. Excel Agent reads your file for real, turns your request into a concrete, numbered list of steps, and shows you that list before anything happens - nothing is invented and no number is guessed: if something you asked for genuinely isn't possible with the data in your file, it says so plainly instead of making something up. Once you approve the plan, every step runs through ordinary, deterministic code (never AI-written formulas or AI-run calculations), and the finished file is re-opened and checked before you ever see a download link - so what you get back is verified, not just assumed to have worked.

Frequently asked questions
Will this invent numbers or columns that aren't in my file?
No. Excel Agent only ever works with columns and values that genuinely exist in your uploaded file - every step in a plan is checked against your file's real structure twice, once before you see it and once again right before it runs. If a request needs data your file doesn't have (a "profit margin" with no cost column, for example), it tells you plainly instead of guessing.
Does AI calculate the numbers in my spreadsheet?
No. AI is only ever used to turn your plain-English request into a named list of steps - every actual calculation, filter, sort, or merge is carried out by ordinary, deterministic code, the same way a formula would compute it, never by an AI model doing arithmetic or writing a formula string that gets evaluated blindly.
What if my request is ambiguous?
Excel Agent would rather ask than guess. If a request could reasonably mean more than one thing, or would require deleting data without being clear about it, you'll see a clarifying note instead of a plan - so nothing gets removed or changed based on a guess about what you meant.
Is my original file safe?
Yes - your uploaded file is never modified in place. Excel Agent always writes its result to a brand-new file, and your original stays exactly as you uploaded it.
Is using Excel Agent free?
Uploading and inspecting your file is always free and needs no account. Getting an AI plan and actually running it are separately priced paid steps (each with a few free uses), and the no-AI "Clean Excel" preset works even without any AI configured.
