VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP in Excel - fetch a value from another table
XLOOKUP (Excel 365) looks a value up in one column and returns the matching value from another; VLOOKUP does the same with a column number.

- In the studio, name the other sheet and the column you want - it picks the matching key column itself.

Why does VLOOKUP return #N/A?
The value is not found: often extra spaces, numbers stored as text, or the key is not in the first column of the range. Use FALSE for exact match.
What is the advantage of XLOOKUP over VLOOKUP?
XLOOKUP can look left, returns exact matches by default, has an if_not_found argument and does not break when columns are inserted. It needs Excel 2021 or 365.
