A certificate or declaration is a short official statement of a fact - that someone is a student, an employee or a resident, is of good character, or has cleared their dues - issued by an institution or by a person who knows the facts.

When to use it

  • Bonafide, character or residence proof for school, bank or visa

How to write Self-declaration of Income

  1. Use the letterhead of the issuing organisation, or your own details if you issue it as a person.
  2. Give the person's full name and the exact facts being certified.
  3. Mention the purpose and the date. Include only facts you can stand behind.
